Random thoughts: The Landing of the Ajira Flight

Every once in a while, I'll post a "Random Thoughts" entry.  These entries will primarily consist of thoughts I've expressed elsewhere, but are good enough to stand on their own.

I was participating in a discussion about what we might like to see that was "left out" of Lost.  In this instance, we were talking about a program focusing on the last survivors, arriving back home on what was left of the Ajira plane.  I pictured the scene like so:

"Lapidus to Tower. Permission to land."

"lapidus? You've been missing for days. You disappeared off the radar somewhere over the Indian Ocean,"

"Crashed, actually. Got a few survivors. No passports though. One was on the flight out with me."

"Where'd the others come from."

"They're more Oceanic 815 Survivors."

"What?"

(Fade out. Next scene: Airport. TSA meets the plane at the gate."

"Kate Austin, you're under arrest for Violation of Probation. You agreed not to leave the state as a part of your plea. I'd say Guam qualifies as out of state."

(Kate) I should have stayed on that island.

"James Ford, you're under arrest for felony child support evasion."

"Son of a Bitch! But I've been stuck on a dang Island for 3+ years. Guess I shoulda just stayed there."

"Miles Straum, you're under arrest for felony tax evasion. And we know about those diamonds in your pocket you conveniently failed to mention on your customs form."

(Miles) "That damn smoke monster was kinder than US Customs."

"Richard Alpert, you're under arrest for suspicion of terrorism. We can find no record of your existence in any known database, no record you were ever born, went to school, or held a job. In fact, the last recorded instance of a Ricardus Alpert we could find died on a slave ship a couple hundred years ago. We did manage to find a brief image from a security camera near a sub port in Portland, making us even more suspicious. That, and those eyelashes MUST mean you're some kind of terrorist.

"Claire Littleton? You were declared dead years ago, but we'll let that pass after all you've been through. Your mum's waiting outside for you with kate's son."

"Me mum? Does that mean we're all dead? Mum's been a vegetable for years. And what do you MEAN KATE's son!!!"

(Claire flies into a psychotic rage. The TSA calls the men with white coats who wrap her up in a snug strait jacket and cart her off to Santa Rosa."

"And Frank...the bosses want to speak with you about where you took your little joy ride with their plane...."

(Fades to Black. Screen flashes "Wish They Were LOST" in white letters.)
